If you have visited Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, you may see this giant lizard.
At first, it only came out the head… …swim slowly A giant monitor lizard, at least 1.2 m long… The skin of the two monitor lizards look a lot of different, the one on the land has shinning yellow gold color skin, (the fist photo, click to enlarge), but this one in the water, it looks grey and very dark blue. I am curious if this is the same one as on the first photo. And…what is that? on closer examination, i saw something on its right side, like a part of the body, but why it looks like coming out from nowhere? I was lucky enough to capture this handsome fellow with tongue out…Monitor lizards are can "smell" the air with their tongue to track down prey. Two close up photos posted below, linking to Weekend Reflection and the coming Marco Monday. P.S My other photo of Monitor lizard and Another monitor lizar. Thank you for visiting my blog. More photos from Sungei Buloh will be posted on this coming Tuesday and Saturday.
