Butterfly In The Sunshine Morning

Plain Tiger Butterfly at Bishan Park

The Plain Tiger Butterfly,  species of Danaus chrysippus chrysippus 樺斑蝶)is a common urban species that has been spreading around Singapore's parks and gardens. They are medium-sized and colorful, always flies slowly and like to perch on the flowers.

I  Found a place in Bishan park with plentiful butterflies and dragon flies hovering around blooming buds and flowers ! ;The Plain Tiger Butterfly is much easier to photograph unlike the rest non stop flying from leaves to flowers.

All pictures in this post are taken with my cell phone at the abundant foliage gardens near the water lilies pond @ Bishan ! Pictures tell all. If you do have some posts about butterfly, do drop me a  link in the common. Thanks.

 Two butterflies, (female and male?)

...photographed in the  Bukit Timah nature reserves along jungle paths while they were feeding on flowering plants.

...male one always prettier, right? 

so this should be male butterfly.

They wrere flying erratically up and down sunlit paths... 

flying from flowers to flowers, feeding on the red flowers...

A blue glassy tiger butterfly

...not sure why it is called blue glassy tiger butterfly, and I can't spot any blue on it. This is one of the  common species in Singapore, particularly in the coastal mangrove areas.
The photo was taken in Sungei buloh wetland reserve

Butterfly at MacRitchie Nature Trail

 I  would rather say it is not that beautiful, but at least, this butterfly did stay still for me to take a clear photograph, LOL

It is a big challenge to a new photographer luke me to capture a clear butterfly image, they were flying here and there every time I saw them, I am wondering where did those beautiful butterfly photos come from?
