 A very common animal at Lower Pierce Reservoir is squirrel, but many times I just can’t get a closer capture. 

Flying Lemur-camera critters 36

Flying Lemurs are also called colugo. It is reported that there are approximately 1500 Malayan Flying Lemurs in Singapore. I was lucky to see them and managed to capture a few shots sometime ago at the entrance of Lower Peirce Boardwalk.

They are not closely related to the Lemurs of Madagascar. Flying lemurs are classified in the order Dermoptera, from the Greek words derma, meaning "skin", and the ptera, meaning "wing", thus "skin-wing". These creatures have membranes that connect their legs and tail, enable them to glide from one tree to the other, like sheets of paper blown in the wind quietly.

As their color is almost same as the tree trunk, it is not easy to find them. It is usually seen perching against a tree trunk with its head pointing upwards. There are 2 species of colugo in the world; the Malayan Flying Lemur and the Philippine Flying Lemur.

I went to Ang Mo Kio west park for an evening walk, while I was walking down the steps, I heard “Pong” …It shocked me, I saw a poor squirrel was falling down from a very tall tree…For a while, this poor squirrel was struggling on the floor, i am sure it is very painful falling down from such a tall tree…I took two photos of this squirrel while watching it slowly walk into the tree bushes by the side.

Time for an evening walk by the lakeside of Titisee: Titisee is a tiny town situated at a height of 858 metres above sea-level in the upper Black Forest. It has an oval-shaped lake of clear emerald-green water, Lake Titisee. The lake is 2 km long and 800 m wide. Thre are a lot of wild ducks there...
I like the 2nd picture, a lonely duck watching the sun down at Lake titesee...

Germany, Bavaria, Lake Chiemsee, Prien…Sitting in the cold wind taking photos of the portraits of a seagull by the watching the seagull by the Bavaria's largest lake. 

I was enjoying the cold and rain in Prien by the lake Chiemsee , just because the lovely benches here and the gull here  seemed more than pleased to have his portrait taken :)
