Elephants In Game Reserve

Elephant, one of the “big five” animals…I was so lucky to see elephants twice during our trip in Game Reserve. Surprised to see how graceful the elephant is. Such a huge body but I cannot hear him move through the grass at all…Some interesting facts learned during the trip. elephant life time can up to 40 years old, the males leave the herd and come back only when it’s time to mate with a female…That is why we saw this huge lonely elephant in the early morning. We waited in the jeep for about 15 minutes, just to watch this guy take his own sweet time to cross the track and walk into the forest. The ranger explained why our jeep can not over take him, just don't want to scare this big animal as elephant can destroy anything...

...spotted this lonely elephant in Mabula Game Reserve,
just before we saw the Rhinos poo poo in the morning

 so near to the jeep...

We saw the family of Elephants too In Pilanesberg National Park, one time is in the afternoon, one time is at night.

...a herd of elephants walking slowly by the river side, amazing...
