There were quite a numbers of Malayan water monitor lizards (Varanus salvator) living in the Sengkang river. They were spotted under the bridge, or just walking across the grass land in Sengkang riverside park with their muscular body and the big strong tail , they eat all kinds of little animals, fishes, crabs, birds, snakes... whatever things they find and can fit into its mouth, dead or alive.
I enjoyed to watch them slowly walking through the green...Just a year time, more and more new buildings were built in Sengkang area, I seldom see all these wild life now...
