Lotus pond at Lorong Halus Wetland Park

There was a lot of lotus flowers in bloom when I visited the place. The most colorful lotus pond in Singapore, almost all softs of lotus flowers have it here, in many color andvarieties.
Lorong Halus is a road leading off the Tampines expressway in north-eastern Singapore.  It was a landfill before, but now is an educational site and a biodiversity haven for plants, birds and other wildlife.

One of our local lakes, Cranberry Lake, has almost been taken over by lily pads. They are considered a nuisance and many methods have been tried to eradicate them. But they are still beautiful, especially when they bloom like yours. - Margy
