The weather was cloudy and there was quite heavy rain in the afternoon during our tracking inside the forest. It may sound bad but actually we never got caught in real Singapore downpour,
and it gave us some cool air in the rain. I can't image if we were waalking in a a bright sunny day, with the humid in the jungle forest of MacRitchie...
So let me bring you go into the jungle now:
First we passed by a country side road where you can't see the end, many varieties of wild plants, the big trees and lush green leaves:
...a very big and old banyan tree
and a big dry leave which bigger than my friend's head, :)
...we saw monkeys, monkeys, and more monkeys, they are quite used to people, staring at you, expecting some food.
...my friend was taking the picture of the water while I saw this heart shape leaves attached on a big tree, and the Jackfruit tree
We passed by a big tree with a lot of fungi, spent 20 mins there for photo taking, I am sure that was the most interesting thing during the tracking, at least to me. :)
vist my other fungi here
...finall we reached the MacRitchie reservoir tree top walk after about one and half hour walk. It is a 250m aerial suspension bridge, and it is a ONE WAY ROUTE! Once you step on it, thats it! We were joking said this is a "Na He Qiao" (the bridge go to the hell), hahaha, but actuall this should be a bridge go to the heaven, because there are more beautiful nature things ahead of us:
The bridge is a bit shake when you walk on it. You will feel a bit shaky initially on the treetop suspension bridge, after a while you will get used to it. Anyway It is safe.
This is one of the highest spot in MacRitchie reservoir park. On top of the MacRitchie treetop walk you can have a panoramic view of the surrounding lush rainforest. It is really wonderful, not the words or my photos can express the feeling:
So enjoy and why not try yourself on these up and down climbing:

Hi,Gypsy Lala
What a lovely tour you took me to! You are quite a walker, aren’t you?. Heart shaped leaves are really cute. My favorites are the photos of fungi. Have a nice week!
What a wonderful, long walk. I am glad it was one way, so much more interesting than having to turn around and walk back again.
The fungi are an absolute delight, they are so delicate!
Thank you for posting on Our World.
What a beautiful piece of nature!!
Warm greetings from sunny West Africa!e
The views were no doubt really great from the bridge. The photos never tell the heights that well. A bit scary that it´s a one way bridge!
Hello Gypsy Lala,
I was surprised with lots of fungi and rare trees for me. The rainforest is really reservoir of many life.
The bridge seems to be scary but the view from there must be amazing.
Thank you for taking us in the rainforest.
Have a fabulous week!
Sarah
