First time seeing this pretty flowers in my friend’s garden, I was told this is red ginger flowers, belong to ginger family...We often see this two type of ginger flowers in Singapore.

The Scientific term is 'Alpinia Purpurata'. The everyday term is Tahitian Red Ginger. It produces deep red to light pink flowers. It also called Ostrich Plume and Pink Cone Ginger, are native Malaysian plants with showy flowers on long brightly colored red bracts. They look like the bloom, but the true flower is the small white flower on top.
