Lucent is a beautiful place, the stereotypical Swiss town situated on a lake at the foot of the Alps.
The Lion Monument
A cool little sight of Lucent was the Lowendenkmal, the dying lion of Luzern. Its carved into a great big stone wall. The dying lion had a broken spear in its back and one paw on a Swiss shield, it was suppose to represent the Swiss mercenaries who died fighting in Tuileries in 1792. It was definitely moving as you can see the pain on the Lion's face.. Mark Twain called it "The saddest thing ever carved into stone"...and I think he is right!
At night we ate fondue, chocolate, and wine. That is fun.
